Buyer terminology
The market uses compressed terms that can sound more certain than the evidence behind them. This glossary keeps the definition and the verification question together.
Core terms
| Term | Plain-language meaning | Verification question |
|---|---|---|
| 1:1 super clone | A premium market category for a replica intended to reproduce the reference architecture and appearance. | Which details are actually documented for this unit? |
| Factory | A source label used for a production network or batch. | Is the current factory identity supported beyond a sticker? |
| Batch / version | A named production run or revision. | Is the version current and tied to the exact watch? |
| QC | Quality-control evidence for the actual unit before dispatch. | Are these current photos and an uncut function video? |
| GL | Community shorthand for accepting or “green-lighting” a unit. | Were all material concerns checked before approval? |
| RL | Community shorthand for rejecting or “red-lighting” a unit. | Is the issue real, or caused by tilt, glare or protective film? |
| Rehaut | The inner ring between dial and crystal, often carrying engraving. | Is the alignment assessed around the full dial? |
| Cyclops | The date magnifier over the crystal. | Is magnification and centring checked on more than one date? |
| SEL | Solid end link connecting bracelet and case. | Do both sides sit evenly without an abnormal gap? |
| Timegrapher | A device reporting rate, amplitude and beat error under stated conditions. | Are the lift angle, position and test conditions disclosed? |
| NWBIG | Community slang meaning the replica is considered strong enough that the genuine purchase is not worthwhile to that speaker. | Which reference, batch and personal priorities support the opinion? |
Terms that still need evidence
“Swiss movement,” “free-sprung,” “904L,” “waterproof,” “72-hour power reserve,” “best edition,” and “genuine parts” are not self-proving. Record them as supplier declarations until the relevant origin, test or measurement is documented.
Sources and evidence boundary
This guide was reviewed on 19 September 2026. Factory and batch observations are community- or supplier-reported unless explicitly attributed to an official manufacturer specification. They should be reconfirmed against the exact unit and current QC evidence.
Compare a specific model
Use the catalogue review for the exact reference, then request current factory, movement and QC evidence.
