Reference research
A full reference number is more useful than a nickname. It identifies the generation and configuration you should use for specifications, factory comparisons and QC.
Why reference-first research works
Nicknames such as “Panda,” “Pepsi,” “Batman,” “Sprite,” “Starbucks” and “Hulk” are convenient, but they can span different references or be used loosely by sellers. A reference-first query narrows the genuine baseline and prevents a comparison between two different generations.
Reference workflow
- Copy the full reference from the catalogue title or ask support when it is missing.
- Verify the genuine model generation and core functions with the official manufacturer collection page.
- Search the exact reference with factory and movement terms.
- Compare only pages that state the same reference and version.
- Use the reference-specific QC checklist on the exact unit.

When the reference is missing
Do not manufacture one from a model family, colour or size. Keep the field unconfirmed, use the photographs to narrow the question, and ask for the full reference before publishing a reference-specific claim.
Sources and evidence boundary
This guide was reviewed on 19 September 2026. Factory and batch observations are community- or supplier-reported unless explicitly attributed to an official manufacturer specification. They should be reconfirmed against the exact unit and current QC evidence.
Compare a specific model
Use the catalogue review for the exact reference, then request current factory, movement and QC evidence.
